Tassie Winter

At 42 degrees south, we have just passed the winter solstice but there’s a long way to go until the leaves and blossoms unfurl and welcome spring.

Many from northern climes see our winter as a negative but we love it! This winter started early this with snow blanketing much of the island.

 There is always tangible excitement in the air when this happens as skis, toboggans and cold weather gear is dusted off ready for the season of winter excitement.

We rarely see snow settle for long here but the views of the mountains from the garden are wonderful. Visit us through winter and you, too will love the views followed by a tasting in our warm and cosy Tasting Room.
